The French Ambassador to Qatar HE Jean-Baptiste Faivre praised the solidity of relations between the two countries.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday at the launch of the 6th edition of GoÃ»t de France / Good France, the Ambassador said: âThe relationship between France and Qatar is really very good and old. Our mission is to strengthen relations between the two countries in all fields.
Promoting the 6th edition of GoÃ»t de France / Good France – an international initiative to help restaurateurs, food producers and the tourism sector – the envoy said that 14 restaurants and 17 chefs will participate in this event. year.
They will be offering a special GoÃ»t de France menu during GoÃ»t de France Week in their restaurants from October 14 to 22.
âWe would like this year’s edition to be part of the embassy‘s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between France and Qatar. We are going to introduce some Qatari flavors in our program. He said that the French Embassy has the privilege of collaborating this year with Chef Noof Al Marri, well known to the Qatari community. The chef of the Ambassador’s residence, Thomas Vatar, and Chef Noof will work together to offer a Franco-Qatari menu designed exclusively for the special GoÃ»t de France / Good France gourmet dinner which will take place in November.
The Ambassador explained that Good France is a way to promote French cuisine and the country as a tourist destination.
âEach year, we celebrate French gastronomy and its values ââin more than 150 countries on five continents,â he said.
The Ambassador said this year’s event has a dual purpose.
