Latest Ukraine-Russia news: Russia to “open humanitarian corridors” in several Ukrainian cities; Zelensky warns Putin “there will be a judgment” | world news

The Ukrainian armed forces have taken stock of the main Russian targets.

“The enemy continues the offensive operation against Ukraine, focusing on encirclement of Kiev, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Mykolaiv, reaching the administrative borders in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, creating a land corridor with the TOT from Crimea in the direction of Mariupol – Novoazovsk,” they said in a statement.

Russian forces have begun hoarding resources for the capture of Kiev, they said.

“They are preparing for attacks in the Polissia, Siversky, Donetsk and Tavriya directions,” they said.

“In the direction of Polissia, the enemy is trying to establish full control over the towns of Bucha and Irpin and to move closer to the capital of Ukraine,” they said.

Forward tank and motorized infantry units are moved into the town of Irpin.

In the northern direction, Russian soldiers are trying to reach the eastern outskirts of Kiev through the Brovarsky and Boryspil districts, as well as to establish control over the cities of Chernihiv and Sumy.

Enemy units continue to advance in a northeasterly direction along the Ingul River.

However, Ukrainian forces managed to liberate the town of Chuhuiv.
