According to Optibus, calls from the French government to increase the use of public transport prompted the company to open a new office in Paris.
Mourad Achour, Regional Director France of Optibus, says: “Increasing the use of public transport is a question of both will and technological capacity. In France, the will is there. Now, Optibus’ software will introduce state-of-the-art processes to increase service efficiency, resulting in increased ridership and reduced pollution.
Optibus combines optimization algorithms, artificial intelligence and distributed cloud computing to optimize bus operations.
The company says the new office will work with clients and partners in France and French-speaking territories.
Dave Joshua, Managing Director, Europe, Middle East and North Africa at Optibus, said: “More efficient and accessible transport is key to getting people out of their cars and onto public transport. We are delighted to start the new year by strengthening our collaboration with the French public transport industry and to be part of this important milestone in the history of French public transport.
Thomas Boudon, Strategic Account Manager EMENA at Optibus, says: “The efficiency gains achievable with Optibus have the potential to revolutionize bus operations in France. We will work hard to ensure that the whole industry has access to Optibus’ cutting-edge technology.
