Muscat: The National Museum, in collaboration with the French Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman and the Franco-Omani Friendship Association, organized a round table entitled “The perfume industry: discovering new frontiers”.
The round table brought together perfume designers from the most prestigious perfume brands in Oman and France. The event is part of the cultural programs accompanying the exhibition “Fragrant Journeys”, which is a collaboration between the National Museum of Oman and the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon who have agreed to present a selection of objects related to perfume .
The “Fragrant Journeys” exhibition started on October 17, 2022 and will run until May 7, 2023 at Bayt Greiza, located in the National Museum area of Muscat.
The objective of the round table was to talk about new market trends, highlighting the link between the luxury culture and the prestige of perfume in France and Oman.
Véronique Aulagnon, Ambassador of France to the Sultanate of Oman, stressed the importance of increasing exchanges of expertise and cooperation in accordance with Oman’s desire to develop this sector within the framework of Oman Vision 2040 and the role engine of France in this sector. She pointed out that Oman and France have many opportunities to seize in the perfume industry.
It should be noted that the exhibition “Fragrant Journeys” presents selected artistic works related to the field of perfumes by creating perfumes inspired by three different works of art.
